The Maserati Levante

Maserati have been looking at 4x4's and providing concept cars for a number of years, but have finally launched the Levante.

The jury is out for me on looks.

It doesn't have the same imposing design as a Range Rover Sport or even a Porsche Cayenne which in theory is what it is up against. As you'd expect from a 4x4 it isn't short of space inside, even though it's slightly shorter that the Range Rover. It's also pretty well equipped.

For me, however, (if I had that sort of money), I'd always go for a Range Rover, but that's just my opinion.

New McLaren F1 Director's Focus On Sponsorship

The incoming Executive Director at McLaren, Zak Brown is aiming to land a title sponsorship deal in readiness for the 2018 F1 season. The team has not had a title sponsor since 2013 when it's deal with Vodafone ended. He admits that it is unlikely that one could be in place for the 2017 season.

Brown describes this as "critically important" as more sponsors means more money that can be invested in the team. There are of course others areas that also need focus including better engagement with the fans.

F1 - What Does Alonso Think About McLaren In 2017

After problems with the Honda engine in 2015, the team have made solid progress this year in terms of power and reliability.

Fernando Alonso thinks that the engine isn't likely to be the biggest worry for the team in 2017.

According to Alonso "On the engine side, we have learned a lot more this year than last year". He believes the biggest question mark is around the new rules on aerodynamics which are being introduced next year. He feels that due to the size of the team, however, they should be able to react well to the challenge.

.........time will tell.

Aston Martin DB10

The DB10 was made for the Bond film Spectre. It has a 4.7litre V8 engine and 6 speed manual transmission.

0 - 60 time 3.2 seconds (not bad!). 50 mph to 70 mph in 6.9 seconds which is as fast as a Porsche 911 GT3 RS, apparently.

Either way a great looking car.

The Amazing McLaren P1

With it's stunning good looks and amazing performance, the P1 has got to be one of my favourite supercars around.

With only 375 made, they were all sold in months of orders being able to be placed (a little out of my price range unfortunately!). Some of the stats:

0 - 62mph in 2.8 seconds

0 - 100mph in 6.3 seconds

Electronically limited top speed of 217mph

Average combined fuel consumption 34mpg

.......Maybe one day......
